The motivation given by PM Sir inspired the team to perform well in Tokyo Olympics: Nikki Pradhan
Ramgarh, Sep 1 : Member of Indian Women’s Hockey Team which finished fourth in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics Nikki Pradhan said that before departing for the games the motivation
given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inspired the team to perform better.
Addressing the people after inaugurating a football tournament in Banji Fakodih in this district where she was present as the Chief Guest she said that the Prime Minister had asked the team to play with
full freedom and even after losing in the Bronze medal match he was consoled and encourage the
team by calling over phone.
Nikki said that the rural areas of the state are full of talented players who needed to provided the
right platform to showcase their skills. She said that players who play with honesty and dedication ultimately achieve sucess in life.
Recalling the hardships which she had to face herself Nikki said that she had to practise in fields
and even after being removed from hostel stayed in a rented accommodation but made sure she
kept practising. She even went to Bhopal to take training and after lots of hardwork and dedication managed to break into the team.
In her message to the girls she asked them not to be bogged down by any challenge.(UNI)
