Moscow, May 27 (Sputnik) :The football club Real Madrid Today announced that football legend Zinedine Zidane will no longer serve as the team’s head coach.
This is not the first time Zidane leaves the club as in 2018 he did so after its victory in the UEFA Champions League but returned in March 2019.
“Real Madrid C. F. announces that Zinedine Zidane has decided to bring an end to his current spell as head coach of our club. We must now respect his decision and express our gratitude for his professionalism, dedication and passion over the years and what he means to Real Madrid,” the football club said in a statement.
Sports reporters earlier speculated that Zidane would be replaced by Massimiliano Allegri, but the Italian coach was later reported to be returning to Juventus.
Under Zidane’s tutelage, Real Madrid has racked up several high-profile victories, including in three UEFA Champions League tournaments.(UNI)
