Over three crore rupees were raised for social reasons by TCS World 10K Bengaluru.
BENGALURU, APRIL 24 : The Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bengaluru has set a new fundraising record, raising over Rs 3 crores in support of various social causes.
With the support of more than 70 NGOs, individual fundraisers, and corporates, this annual event, in collaboration with aidbees, continues to galvanise Bengalureans towards collective action for the larger good.
The event’s Philanthropy Pillar has grown exponentially over the years, solidifying its position as South India’s largest fundraising platform. With a cumulative total exceeding Rs 53 crores for over 400 NGOs, the event’s impact on the philanthropic landscape is undeniable.
This year’s event witnessed heightened corporate engagement, with contributions from over 30 companies amounting to Rs 1.65 crores.
Additionally, individual fundraisers raised approximately Rs 1.20 crores, highlighting the community’s unwavering commitment to social welfare. Fundraising activities will continue until May 10.
Participating NGOs have directed funds towards a diverse range of causes, including education, child welfare, and environmental conservation. Notably, the event also supported the establishment of India’s first tennis wheelchair center, furthering inclusivity and empowerment.

Vivek B Singh, Jt MD, Procam International, acknowledged aidbees’ pivotal role in the event’s philanthropic success, emphasising the event’s spirit of giving.
A 16-year-old Adya Kote from the Right to Live (Kote Foundation) shared her journey, raising Rs 30 lakhs to challenge societal norms and support community initiatives, including building facilities in government schools.
Sunil Kumar Jain, representing Astha NGO, spoke about the significance of sports in empowering disabled individuals, unveiling plans for India’s first wheelchair training center in Chikkaballapur.(UNI)
