Netaji Indoor Stadium turned into vaccination centre for footballers, referees in WB

Kolkata, Jun 26 : The Indian Football Association has undertaken a massive free vaccination drive at the Netaji Indoor Stadium aiming to inoculate all the registered players and referees across West Bengal.
The IFA, state football governing body, in association with Kolkata Municipal Corporation, began its vaccination programme on Thursday to cover some 5000 sports personnel in phase-wise.
” The IFA, in collaboration with the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), has rolled out the free vaccinations for the registered players, referees and ground staff around the game,” an IFA statement said.
“It’s a great honour for us at IFA to collaborate with the KMC and the Government of West Bengal that we will be able to vaccinate our players and referees and ground staff.”
“We are expecting around 5,000 vaccinations this time, and we hope that this will take us one step closer to vaccinating everyone around the beautiful game” said IFA General Secretary Joydeep Mukherjee.(UNI)
