CHENNAI, MAY 26 : In a heartfelt moment following his latest IPL triumph, Rahmanullah Gurbaz shared an update on his mother’s health and her unwavering support. “I think she will be watching, she is OK now,” he said.

“Before the match, I spoke to my mom – I asked what you wanted, and she said, nothing just a win,” he said.

Gurbaz credited his preparation and readiness for his successful performance, especially as the World Cup approaches.

“Salty (Phil Salt) played well and my expectation was as the World Cup was coming, I wanted to prepare, also I had to be ready if Salty got injured, I got it and I was well prepared,” he explained.

The Afghan cricketer expressed his gratitude and sense of achievement following his second IPL championship.
“Twice I am champion of IPL, I am lucky. When you work hard for two months and the result when it comes like this is special,” Gurbaz concluded.
