Dream come true: Dhull on being acquired by DC

Bengaluru, Feb 13 : India’s U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull Today  expressed his excitement on being acquired by Delhi Capitals, saying it’s a “dream come true” for him. The Delhi-based franchise got Dhull on Day 2 of the 2022 IPL mega auction here in Bengaluru. After a tussle with Punjab Kings, the local lad was snapped up by Delhi for Rs 50 lakh. “Hi Delhi Capitals. Thank you for showing faith in me and selecting me at the auctions. I’ve been a part of Delhi Capitals Bal Bhavan Academy for 8-9 years. So this is a dream come true for me. I’m really excited to join the team and I’m ready to give my best,” said Dhull. A trainee of Delhi Capitals Academy, Dhull hogged the limelight in the Caribbean where he lead India to its record-extending fifth U19 World Cup title. The 19-year-old batter notched 229 runs in just four matches at an average of 76.33 in the recently concluded marquee event.
