Adelaide, Jan 7 : India’s Rohan Bopanna and Ramkumar Ramanathan registered a straight-set win to enter the semifinals of the Adelaide International here Today.

Bopanna and Ramanathan defeated French-Monegasque pair of Benjamin Bonzi and Hugo Nys 6-1, 6-3 in the men’s doubles quarterfinals ATP 250 event.

The Indians, who are unseeded, will meet fourth seeded Bosnian-Mexican pair of Tomislav Brkic and Santiago Gonzalez in the semifinal on January 8.

Meanwhile, India’s Sania Mirza crashed out of the Adelaide International 1 WTA 500 tournament.

Mirza and Nadiia Kichenok of Ukraine lost to Australian duo of Ashleigh Barty and Storm Sanders 1-6, 6-2, 8-10 in women’s doubles semifinal.

Adelaide International is a lead-up event to the Australian Open, starting January 17 in Melbourne.(UNI)
