ACA thanks to BCCI for allotting matches to Visakahaptnam, Vijayawada

Visakhapatnam, Sep 22 :Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) Today expressed happiness and thanks to BCCI for allotting matches to Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
According to the BCCI domestic schedule released recently, India will play three ODIs and three T20Is against the formidable West Indian side from February 6 to 20.
The match in Visakhapatnam is scheduled for February 18, 2022, and will be played at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium.
The last T20 was played between India and Australia in the stadium on February 24, 2019.
In a statement, ACA Treasurer S R. Gopinath Reddy, said that the BCCI allotted 2nd T20 International Match against West Indies on Feb 18, 2022.
Stadium renovation works are under process and we will be able to complete it within a reasonable period, he said..
On observing the efforts of ACA in organizing the cricketing activity during the pandemic situation also, the BCCI recognized our efforts and allotted the Board matches and also the second T20 International Match between India and West Indies, he said.
Association Chief Executive Officer M.V. Siva Reddy, said the cricket activity in our state is going very smoothly and we are fully confident that some of the Players from our Andhra in both categories may represent the Indian team in the coming days.
Gopinath Reddy, said that a total six teams (Kerala, M.P, Baroda, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Haryana) are participating in the Women Under-19 tournament. Likewise, Andhra Women Under-19 team also went to Surat to participate in the same tournament.
All the matches are played in the Bio-Bubble system and the association arranged necessary Support Staff to look after the tournament right from the date of arrival of the teams till completion of the tournament, he added.
ACA Director (Cricket operations) Y. Venugopala Reddy also expressed his happiness in allotting Under-19 Women Board matches at Visakhapatnam commencing from September 28, 2021 at three grounds –one at Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, one at Railway grounds, and the other at ACA North Zone Academy, Vizianagaram.
Due to the Bio-Bubble system, 30 Rooms are allotted to each team and only one occupant will be in the room as per the guidelines of BCCI, he said.
Under the able leadership of ACA Presiden P. Sarath Chandra Reddy and S R Gopinath Reddy, has done so many activities to promote the game in all the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
He expressed his confidence in some players getting chances to represent India from Andhra in both Men and Women categories.(UNI)
