Bhanuka Rajapaksa quits international cricket

Colombo, Jan 5 : Sri Lanka top-order batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa Today  announced his international retirement with immediate effect.
In a letter to Sri Lanka Cricket, Rajapaksa cited familial obligations for his decision.
“I have very carefully considered my position as a player, husband and am taking this decision looking forward to fatherhood and associated familial obligations,” wrote Rajapaksa.
The 30-year-old was Sri Lanka’s leading scorer in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup.
Rajapaksa went onto represent Sri Lanka in five ODIs and 18 T20Is, scoring a total of 409 runs in the limited-overs game.(UNI)
