Chandigarh, Oct 20 : Mansa defeated Hoshiarpur by eight wickets in the semi-final of the Punjab State Inter-District Men’s U-25 years Tournament at the I S Bindra PCA Stadium here today.
Mansa won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first Hoshiarpur bundled out for 152 in 44.4 overs. Karan Chawla’s 60 off 114 with seven boundaries was the highest score for Hoshiarpur.

Dalip Singh Faltia (3 for 34), Hitesh (3 for 20) and Randeep (2 for 33) were the most successful wicket takers for Mansa.
Replying, Mansa achieved the target of 153 for 2 in 38 overs. Bhupinder Singh 57 off 75 with five boundaries and Shabaj Singh 37 off 37 with four boundaries and one six were the main run getters for Mansa.
Rahul Kshyap (1 for 32) and Ashish Ghai (1 for 29) were the most successful wicket takers for Hoshiarpur. With this Mansa qualified for the finals.
In the second semi-final Mohali beat Amritsar by six wickets at Endeavour Cricket Ground, Banur. Amritsar won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first Amritsar bundled out for 169 in 47.2 overs. Abhay Choudhary 58 off 92 with seven boundaries and Sumit Sharma 36 off 65 with three boundaries were the main run getters for Amritsar.

Jassinder Singh (3 for 43) and Kunal Vishwa (3 for 27) were the most successful wicket takers for Mohali.
Replying, Mohali achieved the target and scored 172 for 4 in 44 overs. Anshul Chaudhary 68 off 109 with six boundaries and Anil Yadav 54 off 83 with seven boundaries were the main run getters for Mohali. Abhinav Sharma, Akashdeep Singh, Rohit Kumar, Arjun Pappal took one wicket each for Amritsar.
With this, Mohali enter into the finals.
The final between Mohali and Mansa will be played on October 22 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.(UNI)
