Why didn’t Modi halt the plunder by the Karnataka government? Priyanka
Indi, May 3 : Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday asked why Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not stop his “40 per cent commission government” in Karnataka from plundering the people of the state.
“The world calls you omniscient, omnipresent, supreme and greatest of all vikas purush, but I want to ask you – what were you doing when your own 40 per cent commission government was looting the public,” she said, addressing a poll rally here.
Taunting PM Modi, Priyanka said “When the loot was taking place, your eyes were shut because you were dreaming. You allowed theft, you didn’t stop it. No wonder your government is called the 40 per cent commission government.”
“The contractors association wrote a letter, but there was no response from the omniscient prime minister. Contractors committed suicide, but he did see the problem through.” she said.
Priyanka claimed that the Prime Minister and BJP leaders are talking on everything in this election, but not on real issues of development, building hospitals, giving relief to farmers, and giving employment to youth.
Priyanka also alleged that difficulties have been increasing in Karnataka in three-and-a-half years because the present government was formed in a wrong way.
From the beginning, their intention has been to loot after getting power and ignore the problems of the people, she said and claimed that the BJP government in Karnataka has looted Rs 1.5 lakh crore.
Priyanka also alleged that BJP wanted to destroy the ‘Nandini’ brand of Karnataka.(UNI)
