Mumbai, May 22 : Maharashtra Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik Today said that the Governor has taken advantage of the time limit in the ‘that’ law to appoint 12 MLCs to the Legislative Council.
Meanwhile, Malik in his statement has expressed confidence that the Governor Bhagatsingh Koshiyari will take a decision on the public interest litigation and inform the court.

The Cabinet had recommended to the Governor regarding the appointment of 12 MLCs to the Legislative Council.

It has been seven months since the incident but no decision has been taken.

Hearing the public interest litigation, the court asked whether it was up to the court to decide whether to keep the file in the drawer. Therefore, we will have to wait for the decision of the governor, Mr Malik , who is also National Spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), added.(UNI)
