Visakhaptnam, Sept 27 : Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) director (Commercial) D K Mohanty, on Monday said RINL-VSP is the first Public Sector Steel Plant to have implemented 5S as one of the lean management initiatives across the organisation.
Addressing in virtual mode after inaugurating the 21st Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2021) of Visakhapatnam Chapter at Ukkunagaram here, Mohanty said that the key to staying relevant in a changing world is to become an “intentional learner”.
He observed that Quality Circles and 5S teams contribute significantly in bringing participative work-culture and also for improved quality of work-life besides financial benefits.
He complimented QCFI (Quality Circle Forum of India) for being a trusted partner in RINL-VSP’s quality journey and in achieving this mission.
The special features of this convention are Slogan, Poster, Poem, Knowledge Test and QC Quiz Competitions and Case Study presentations which are being conducted online.(UNI)
