HYDERABAD, Jan 19     :   The Islamic Resistance in Iraq declared in a statement on Thursday that it will be using drones to target the US occupation facility close to Erbil Airport in northern Iraq, according to the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV network.

Sabrina Singh, the deputy spokesperson for the Pentagon, earlier stated that since October 17, US forces stationed in Syria and Iraq have been attacked 140 times. Singh revealed that the attacks had been “persistent and alarming” in remarks made during a news briefing.

She said that there have been roughly 140 attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria to date, with 57 of those attacks occurring in Iraq and 83 in Syria.

The Resistance claimed on Sunday that they were employing drones and rockets to target three US occupation bases in Syria and Iraq. The Iraqi Resistance said in a statement that its fighters had launched missile attacks against the US occupation base located at the Erbil airport in Iraqi Kurdistan, the Kharab al-Jir base in the northeastern Syrian suburb of al-Hasakah province, the Conoco oil field base in eastern Deir Ezzor, and other locations.
