Lucknow, May 9 :Uttar Pradesh government has gone strict against mischievous elements who are posting fake posts on social media about people dying due to radiation of the 5G trial.

These days many misleading messages are becoming viral on the internet media regarding the trial of the 5G network. UP Police will now take stern action against those spreading rumours about it.

ADG law and order Prashant Kumar has directed the SPs of all districts to take stringent legal action against the elements trying to spread rumours

In UP, anti-social elements are spreading that in some parts of the state, the 5G network trial is spreading radiations and people are dying. Rumours about death from radiation are being spread after linking it with post-mortem report of people who lost their lives to Covid in Italy due to radiation

The state intelligence department has also given its report to the DGP headquarters regarding such messages. The audio of a conversation of a Varanasi youth with a person resident in Bihar has also gone viral, in which the youth says that testing of 5G towers has killed people in UP. Apart from this, there are rumours of the death of people due to 5G tower testing in the villages of Fatehpur, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur and Sultanpur and now people in these areas are threatening to uproot these 5G towers.

ADG law and order Prashant Kumar in a directive to all the district police chiefs on Saturday has instructed that the intelligence system should be kept active on such viral information and action should be taken against those spreading such rumours. Such rumours should be immediately contradicted with constant monitoring of the Internet media, he said.(UNI)
