Union MoS for Education arrives in Arunachal’s Longding

Itanagar, July 10 : Union Minister of State for Education Dr. Subhas Sarkar on Sunday arrived in Arunachal Pradesh on a three-day visit to Longding and Tirap districts to review the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes, official sources said.
Soon after his arrival, the MoS had a brief interaction with the local representatives and the district officials. Divulging the purpose of his visit, Dr. Sarkar said, “Under the Act East policy, the government is taking all necessary steps for the development of the North-Eastern region in general and Arunachal Pradesh in particular.”
He said the government is committed to making sure that public service delivery is efficient and it reaches the poor. To understand the ground realities, Sarkar said, during his 3-day stay he will travel extensively and visit various project sites and schools.
He will also take review meetings on all centrally sponsored schemes with Deputy Commissioners concerned along with other district officials and local legislators. He will also be interacting with the beneficiaries of various schemes.
During the meeting, the Union Minister was accompanied by State RWD and Science & Technology Minister Honchun Ngandam, Longding MLA Tanpho Wangnaw, Nampomg MLA Laisam Simai, State BJP vice president Nani Lajie, KVIB Chairman and State convener, Lok Sabha Prabhas Yojna (LSPY), Dominic Tadar, and LSPY co-convenor Vishal P Nabam.
Earlier, the Union Minister, on reaching Kanubari in Longding district, was received by local MLA Gabriel Denwang Wangsu, Kanubari ADC with various head of departments and BJP Karyakartas, sources added. (UNI)
