Union Minister Anurag Thakur dedicates PSA plant & modern machines worth Rs 1 crore 70 lakhs
Hamirpur (HP), July 11 : Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Thakur on Monday inaugurated the PSA plant established at Civil Hospital Tounidevi with an investment of about Rs 1 crore, and the state-of-the-art Ultrasound Machine, Potval X-Ray and ECG Machine, Baby Doppler Machine installed at about Rs 70 lakhs.
Speaking on occasion, Anurag Singh Thakur said in this era of the Corona crisis, the Narendra Modi government has provided free rations to 80 crore people of the country for 8 months without any discrimination. He said under the Ujjwala scheme, gas cylinders should be made available to crores of women free of cost and thousands of crores have been deposited in their Jan Dhan accounts.
He said to deal with the corona epidemic, the vaccine was made in India, and people were given 2-2 doses free of cost. He said the government has started many schemes for the skill development of the youth and to motivate them to start their own ventures. Youth should take advantage of these schemes and adopt self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Thakur appealed to the people to take adequate precautions against the Coronavirus as it still existed and was spreading its wings all around.
Earlier, he launched the Automatic Sanitary Pad Production Machine for awareness among women on behalf of Swachh Bharat-Swasth Bharat Prime Minister’s Cleanliness Mission at Narsin village in Kakdiyar gram panchayat.
He said today a new beginning had been made in the cleanliness campaign by setting up of sanitary napkin machines. He said this would protect the environment. Along with this, women will also get employment opportunities due to the establishment of this unit. He said in the past the topic of women’s cleanliness was never discussed openly, but at present everyone has become aware and talks openly on this subject.
He said in the past there were no toilets, so people had to go out early in the morning to defecate, due to which women had to face a lot of difficulties. Prime Minister Narendra Modi understood this problem of women and toilets were built in every house.
The central minister said the BJP government always worked for the empowerment of women. Former Chief Minister Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal had provided 50 percent reservation to women in Panchayati Raj Institutions. At present, about 65 percent of women in Panchayati Raj Institutions are elected.
He called upon to run a campaign to create awareness about breast cancer and take necessary cooperation of Mahila Mandals and PRIs in this campaign. He said the TB-free campaign should also be accelerated to make the state TB-free.
He also listened to the problems of the people on this occasion and also solved them.(UNI)
