Under PM Modi’s direction, India becomes the world’s fifth-largest economy: Prahlad Joshi

HYDERABAD, JAN 3   :     Union Minister for Coal, Mines, and Parliamentary Affairs, Prahlad Joshi stated that India, which was once considered among the five weakest economies in 2008 and 2009, has now become one of the five strongest economies, thanks to the efficient administration of Prime Minister Modi.

The minister participated in the Vikasita Bharat Sankalpa Yatra held in Rawal Kol and Saidoni Gadda Thanda Gram Panchayats of Medchal Malkajgiri District of Telangana on Wednesday.

Union Minister Prahlad Joshi interacted with the digital information vehicle of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Union Government.

On this occasion, he highlighted that India has emerged as the world’s 5th largest economy during the ten-year tenure of the Union Government led by Prime Minister Modi, showcasing a positive change in the country’s economic situation, benefiting every individual, especially the economically disadvantaged.

Minister Joshi elaborated on the progress achieved by the central government over the past decade.
The ‘Vikasita Bharat Sankalpa Yatra’ serves as a platform to showcase the success stories of schemes introduced by the Central Government and their beneficiaries. Minister Joshi emphasized that this digital initiative aims to boost people’s confidence and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every deserving individual.

Addressing the allocation of funds to Telangana, the minister noted that the state has received Rs. 2.5 lakh crores in grant-in-aid, Rs. 93,000 crores for road development, and Rs. 4,500 crores for railway development over the last 5 years.

Minister Joshi highlighted the impact of PM Ujjwala Yojana, providing 9.5 crore free gas connections in 10 years, leading to smoke-free kitchens across the country. He praised the initiative for making liquefied petroleum gas more affordable and accessible, ensuring a significant reduction in smoke pollution.

Discussing various government schemes, Minister Joshi highlighted the achievements of Har Ghar Nal Jal and Jal Jeevan Mission in providing water to every household, distributing of 5 kg of rice per month for 80 crore people, and facilitating loans to small businesses without guarantees through PM Swanidhi.

Prahlad Joshi inaugurated Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material containing details about the Central Government. He toured various stalls set up by the central government in Rawal Kol and Saidoni Gadda Thanda Gram Panchayats.

These vehicles, part of Vikasita Bharat Sankalpa Yatra, are touring the country to inform citizens about various government schemes, providing direct access to their benefits. Prahlad Joshi referred to it as the “Modi Guarantee Vehicle” based on popular sentiment among the people.(UNI)
