Mangaluru, Jul 3 : Two persons at Kottara Chowki check post while they were transporting Ganja in a four-wheeler vehicle from Andhra Pradesh to Kerala, police said Today.
According to police, the arrested have been identified as Shihabuddin (32) from Kamballur and Latheef (38) from Kadumeni Kasargod.
DCP Law and Order Hariram Shankar, said that police stopped a Mahendra Bolero bearing for checking last late night and found 20 packets of Ganja along with some lemon boxes.
It is said that the accused were transporting Ganja along with lemon boxes in the vehicle. The police seized 20 packets of Ganja weighing 2 kg each and a vehicle all worth Rs 11.17 lakhs from their possession.
A case has been registered in the Urwa police station and investigation is on.(UNI)
