Pratapgarh, Mar 20 :Two people were killed while two others sustained critical burn injuries when a high-tension line broke in the Jethwara area here, today early morning.
Police sources said that a 11,000 volt wire broke and fell on a transformer at Dadi Khas Thakur Deen Tiwari ka Purwa in the Jethwara area at around 0300 hrs. Due to the high voltage in homes, the electronic equipments started malfunctioning. Lakhpati Devi (65), who was trying to switch off an electronic equipment, was electrocuted to death.
Three other people were taken to the district hospital where Jagat Bahadur Yadav (40) also died while receiving treatment. Suman Yadav (35) and Rajesh Tiwari (20), who are in the hospital, are out of danger.(UNI)
