TTD Trust Board sanctions tenders for the construction of Venkateswara Swamy temple in Jammu worth Rs 17.40 cr
Tirumala, Oct 7: The maiden meeting of the newly formed TTD Trust Board, the highest decision-making body of the world-famous Tirumala temple, today sanctioned tenders for Rs 17.40 crore towards the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Jammu.
The meeting which was held under the Chairmanship of YV Subba Reddy at Annamaiah Bhavan here also approved tenders for the beautification of the Alipiri footpath at Rs.7.50 crores.
Nod for Rs.4.46 crores tenders to take up construction of fourth and fifth stories in Center for Advanced Research at SVIMS Super Speciality Hospital in Tirupati, the board also approved tenders for Rs.2.61crores towards the development and repairs works in Varaha Swamy Rest House- 2.
Besides giving a nod for the construction of Kalyana Mandapam in Rayachoti at YSR Kadapa district with Rs.2.21crores, the board also approved to set up a TTD Corporation providing job security to the Contract and Outsourcing employees on the lines of APCOS (Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourcing Services).
It also decided to create a Health fund for TTD employees.
TTD Ex-officio member and TTD Executive Officer Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy, TUDA Chairman and Ex-officio member Dr. C Bhaskar Reddy, newly formed board members, TTD senior officials were also present. (UNI)
