TRS has bank deposits of Rs 425 cr : CM
Hyderabad, Oct 25 : Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrashekhar Rao today said that party has bank deposits to the tune of about ₹ 425 crore and earning a monthly interest of ₹ 2 crore on it.
The party, which was founded on April 27, 2001, has 65 lakh members including Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and others.
Addressing the delegates at TRS plenary at Hitex Convention centre here soon after his unanimous election as party president, Mr Rao said the party, which has 65-lakh strong membership, will organize teaching classes to its party activities for strengthening of the party.
Out of 33 districts in the state, party offices have been constructed in 31 districts and all are at the inauguration stage, he said that the party will construct offices in Hyderabad district and at the newly formed Warangal district soon, with identification of land is underway.
However, in the next phase, the party would also construct party offices with all facilities at each assembly segment in the state after discussing with the members, the TRS President said.
‘The party has no ‘bosses’ or ‘high command’ like Congress and BJP parties, the Chief Minister said the party’s bosses are Telangana people and our party’s agenda was people’s agenda only.
The TRS party was economically strong and has been paying Rs 20 crore towards insurance to the members, Mr Rao added.(UNI)
