TPCC lodges complaint against PM Modi for alleged MCC violation

HYDERABAD, APR 22   :    Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) senior Vice- President G Niranjan has filed a complaint with Rajiv Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of the Election Commission of India, alleging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during his recent public meeting in Rajasthan.

In the complaint, a copy of which was released to the media on Monday, Niranjan accused Prime Minister Modi of deliberately attempting to mislead the public and tarnish the image of the Congress party with his remarks during the Rajasthan event on Sunday.
Niranjan highlighted specific comments made by Modi, alleging that they were aimed at creating communal tension and were against the spirit of the Constitution. He urged the Election Commission to take stern action against Modi and demanded a public apology from him, failing which he suggested the Prime Minister should be disqualified from contesting in the upcoming general elections.(UNI)
