Nashik, Nov 10 : Banned tobacco worth Rs 30 lakh was seized from Igatpuri taluka of this district, the highway police said here Today.
Acting on a tip-off by local corporator Sampat Davkhar, a team led by PSI Amol Walzade on Tuesday raided the Ghatan Devi Mandir area on the Mumbai-Agra national highway.
A total of 33 bags of tobacco were found at the spot, the highway cops said, adding that the case has been handed over to the Igatpuri police station for further probe.(UNI)
