Thunderstorm with lightning likely in Telangana in next 48 hours: Met
Hyderabad, Oct 7 : Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in few districts of Telangana during the next 48 hours, Meteorological Centre said today.
In a bulletin here, it said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places in the state during the next five days.
The Southwest monsoon has been weak in Telangana during the last 24 hours.
Rain occurred at isolated places in the state during the same period, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, in a Special bulletin, Met said that a trough runs from Cyclonic Circulation over East Central Arabian sea to West-central Bay of Bengal adjoining Andhra Pradesh Coast across South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Andaman Sea around October 10.
It is likely to become more marked and move west-northwestwards towards South Odisha & North Coastal Andhra Pradesh coasts during the subsequent 4-5 days.
Mainly low-level Easterlies/South-Easterlies prevail over the state, the bulletin added. (UNI)
