The public is responding favourably to the BJP, and they are optimistic about Telangana: Reddy Kishan

HYDERABAD, NOV 20 : BJP Telangana state president G Kishan Reddy on Monday claimed that his party was getting a positive public response and seemed on track for victory in the upcoming Assembly poll.

He highlighted the intensified campaign efforts following the release of the party manifesto, with senior leaders actively participating in the election campaign

Addressing reporters, Reddy mentioned that various sections of society, particularly the oppressed sections and the Dalits, are drawing closer to the party.

He claimed there was a “silent revolution” in favor of the BJP and criticised the incumbent BRS government for “failing” to fulfill promises made during the last two elections.

He said people were preventing BRS campaign vehicles from entering villages and questioning its leaders on issues such as the absence of a Dalit CM, unfulfilled loan waivers and unfilled job positions.

Expressing confidence about the BJP’s prospects, Reddy criticised both the Congress and BRS for “falling short of public expectations”. He accused Congress of being responsible for student deaths during the Telangana agitation and expressed skepticism about the party’s guarantees, citing failures in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh.

Promising transparency and good governance, Reddy pledged to initiate a comprehensive inquiry by a retired Supreme Court Judge into corruption cases in the state once the BJP comes to power. He emphasised the need for a “double engine government” – governments ruled by the same party at the centre and the state – to facilitate rapid development in national highway    health, education, aninfrastructure.
The Telangana Assembly polls are scheduled for November 30. The counting is on December 3.(UNI)
