The president of Russia expresses sympathy for the deaths caused by the Hathra catastrophe.

NEW DELHI, JULY 3 :  Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday sent a message of condolence to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the tragic accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras in which 121 people were killed in a stampede.
In his message, the Russian President wrote:
“Esteemed Mrs President,
“Esteemed Mr Prime Minister,
“Kindly accept the most sincere condolences over the tragic accident in Uttar Pradesh.
“Please convey words of sympathy and support to the near and dear ones of the deceased as well as wishes for a speedy recovery of all injured.
Respectfully,

Vladimir Putin.”
The stampede occurred during a ‘satsang’ (prayer meeting) organised by a self-styled godman, Bhole Baba aka Narayan Saakar Hari, in Hathras.

At least 121 people, including women and children, were killed in the stampede on Tuesday afternoon.(UNI)
