HYDERABAD, JULY 16 :  Telangana Governor C P Radhakrishnan on Wednesday said that the essence of Muharram lies in remembering goodness and sacrifice.
In a message, the Governor said, “Muharram Symbolizes the spirit of sacrifice considered to be above all virtues of mankind.’
It commemorates the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Holy Prophet, who selflessly gave his life in the pursuit of true belief.

The essence of Muharram lies in remembering goodness and sacrifice.
We have to strive to emulate the spirit of Moharram embodying humanism and Islam its ideals of sacrifice, peace, and justice, the Governor said.(UNI)
