The fourth season of “India’s Best Dancer” unveils “Best Barah.”
NEW DELHI, JULY 29 : Sony Entertainment Television’s dance reality show, ‘India’s Best Dancer – Season 4’, has unveiled its ‘Best Barah’ after a series of auditions and mega auditions across the country.
The panel of judges, comprising Karisma Kapoor, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis, has selected the top twelve contestants who will continue in the competition.
The ‘Best Barah’ includes Amos Mathi, Arjun Sathe, and Akansha Mishra (Akina) from Mumbai; Nikhil Patanayak from Chhattisgarh; Harsh Keshri from Patna; Smruti Swarup Patra (Nextion) and Dibyajoti Naik from Orissa; Deepak Sahi (Nepo) from Uttarakhand; Vaishnavi Shekhawat from Bangalore; Steve Jyrwa from Meghalaya; Chitrakshi Batra from Punjab; and Rohan Choudhary from Assam.
Karisma Kapoor, one of the judges, said, “The talent this season is extraordinary, and selecting the top twelve was a challenging task.”
Each contestant has showcased remarkable skills and unique styles, ranging from freestyle and contemporary to hip-hop and lyrical dance. Amos Mathi from Borivali impressed the judges with his freestyle dance and typical Mumbaiya andaaz. Arjun Sathe stood out with his fusion of house dance, contemporary, and lyrical styles, while Akansha Mishra (Akina) mesmerised with her lyrical dance choreography.
Nikhil Patnayak from Chhattisgarh delivered powerful contemporary routines, demonstrating strong lines and expressive choreography. Harsh Keshri from Patna captivated with his intense contemporary dance performances, showcasing powerful techniques and emotive storytelling. Smruti Swarup Patra (Nextion) from Orissa, who made Karisma Kapoor dance with him, won hearts with his hip-hop and freestyle dance performances. Dibyajoti Naik, also from Orissa, impressed with his mix of popping and Bollywood choreography.
Deepak Shahi (Nepo) from Uttarakhand wowed the audience with his dynamic hip-hop freestyle, while Vaishnavi Shekhawat from Bangalore showcased fluid movements and expressions in her modern contemporary dance choreography. Steve Jyrwa from Meghalaya stunned the judges with his hip-hop moves and flawless footwork. Chitrakshi Batra from Punjab matched steps with choreographer Vartika Jha in her open style choreography, and Rohan Chaudhary from Assam owned the stage with his hip-hop choreography.
The Grand Premiere, set for 3rd and 4th August, will feature the ‘Best Barah’ along with their respective choreographers, marking the beginning of their journey towards winning the title of India’s Best Dancer – Season 4.(UNI)
