The court allows Lalu to go abroad for treatment
PATNA, SEP 22: The CBI special court hearing the matter related to the fodder scam involving Rashtriya Janta Dal ( RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav granted him permission on Thursday to visit Singapore for treatment.
The special judge Mahesh Kumar while hearing his application of Yadav allowed him to go to Singapore.
Earlier the Counsel of Yadav had moved an application before the special judge had mentioned that Yadav has to visit Singapore for treatment for which permission from the court was essential. In the application, it was also mentioned that Yadav had already got permission from the court in connection with 5 pending cases of fodder scams in Ranchi.
It may be recalled that Yadav is accused in several cases of the fodder scam of the erstwhile Bihar. Most of the cases were pending in a special court at Ranchi whereas only one case RC 63(A)/96 was pending before the special court in Patna. (UNI)
