Nanded, July 6 : A case under various sections has been registered at the Wazirabad police station against three accused for defaming police inspector Chandrashekar Kadam on social media,today.
As per detail, PI Kadam along with his colleagues during patrolling on June 2 spotted an Enfield motorcycle (MH26-BW-0292) being rode by the accused Deepak Dattatraya Sallawar by altering the silencer in such a way that it emits crackers sound intermittently. Hence a legal action was taken for causing physical and mental distress to pregnant women, elderly citizens, children, the disabled and the general public. To take revenge on the accused from his Facebook account, by forming ‘Nandedkar’s group’ posted contents defaming the police inspector publicly.
In the post, Champak Bhakre, close associate of the accused, made obscene comments against the PI threatening and endangering the life of the PI. On a complaint lodged by PI Kadam a case has been registered against the accused Sallawar, Champak Bhakre and Kiran Kokare at Wazirabad police station under sections 294, 500, 501 and 506 of the Information Technology Act 2000 and section 674 of the IPC.(UNI)
