The British Empire in which the sun never set, it is said, such justice under the rule of their rule

The British Empire in which the sun never set, it is said, such justice under the rule of their rule

The British Empire in which the sun never set, it is said, such justice under the rule of their rule For which they were not ready, then presented a challan in the court. The trial proceeded for months, the court time passed and eventually he was sentenced for entering his ancestral house, that was, only 5 minutes to sit in court.

The most important and well-known case relates to Mahatma Gandhi, who after just 8 days of judicial proceedings, was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment in the crime of treason and his case was advocated by Bapu himself because he was a barrister himself. He repeated the excerpts of his speech delivered at the Ajmer assembly on 8 and 9 March 1921, and not only was distracted in the court but also thanked the British Magistrate for hearing the sentence as the same court gave his political mentor Gopal Krishna Gokhale was also sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment. On hearing the sentence, Gandhiji had said, Judge sir! Thank you very much, you made me stand up to my mentor. The proceedings of the trial against Gandhiji saw eye to eye with the special permission of the court, recorded by journalist Narhari Chintamani Deshmukh present at that time, which was later published in Gandhiji’s newspaper. In it, he writes that on 18 March 1921, a historical scene appeared in this court which was unique and unique in the era of the British Empire, which no one had even imagined. He writes, when the English Judge Justice Brumfield entered the court, all the people who were present in the court, stood in their own place. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi stood as the perpetrator in the courtroom. Before taking his seat, the judge, addressing Gandhiji, bowed his head and said, I Salute Mr. Gandhi You Have Done Your Duty Towards Your Nation and Now I’m Going to Do My Duty Towards My Government. After this, he sentenced Gandhi ji to 6 years imprisonment. It is noteworthy that Mahatma Gandhi came to Ajmer on 8 March, where he talked about boycotting English law in public meeting, Arrested against him for treason and issued an arrest warrant against him but due to fear of unrest, he could not be arrested in Ajmer and he left the train for Ahmedabad on the night of 9 March and he got treason as soon as he reached Ahmedabad in the morning of 10 March. Arrested and presented in court. The court started the proceedings for treason and completed its proceedings in just 8 days and gave the verdict of the case on 18 March. Gandhiji was sent to Yerwada Jail in Pune. It is the same infamous jail in Pune, where Kasab, a terrorist, was also kept.

So it is, a true account of the story of the persecution during the British rule, where no one was found guilty in a judicial inquiry, despite the killing of another hundreds in a Malabar train accident, in response to the fierce lathicharge on the non-violent procession More than 100 people involved in the unruly mob were sentenced to death by the same court together and Mahatma Gandhi was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment after 8 days only by prosecuting the state malicious for giving speeches in the Ajmer assembly. Narrated

There are many such incidents of that era, which during the jail visit of our patriotic revolutionaries and freedom fighters, hundreds of stories of oppression and sitam could not be recorded in history, but the passion and passion of patriotic youth to sacrifice them for freedom. Could not alienate and distract and eventually the country gained independence under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.

In the year Pratipada and it is the first day of the New Year according to the Indian Almanac. On this day, Mahatma Gandhi started publishing a weekly newspaper called Hindi Nav Jeevan 100 years ago. Today is also the Vaisakhi festival, which is also the founding day of Sikhism and according to Islam, the holy month of Ramadan is also being started. What a wonderful and pleasant coincidence. This is a unique example of Ganga Jamani Tehzeeb and brotherhood harmony of our country.
