The autocratic police now started running the baton on the journalists too, both of them have to stay in dignity.

There is an old saying “Khsiyani Billi khamba noche”

Even though journalism has been considered as the fourth pillar of democracy in the Constitution of India, the reality on the ground is very different. Even today journalism is struggling for its existence and sometimes innocent journalists have to lose their lives. For the past few years, because of the Supreme Court’s ban, the gravel mining mafia has started dominating a lot, this business is booming illegally. When journalists publish news about illegal gravel mining, they become an eyesore of the mining mafia and when they talk to the police about it, no satisfactory answer can be found. It is bitter but the truth is that now the criminals have no fear of the police because they have faith in their wealth. Journalists’ lives are always at risk on any news related to the mafia and when the police are expected to cooperate in this. If so, then there is often disappointment

It has been seen that nowadays the police deal with journalists very rudely and sometimes they even clean their hands on them, now where should the journalist go in such a situation?

One such example was seen in the Jhalawar district recently when a journalist was beaten up by the police for reporting illegal mining and when various journalist organizations gave memorandums regarding this but no action was taken against the police, it was a direct manifestation of the autocracy of the police. For example, the police have many excuses to explain themselves, even if people keep shouting, they will do whatever they want to do because they are the government.

Many such examples are now being seen everywhere, which is fatal for journalism and democracy.

However, for such a state of journalism, some sycophantic journalists are also guilty who are responsible for tarnishing the image of journalists for their personal interest and because of them the attitude of the police becomes the same for all journalists. Journalists also have to respect their dignity. Care should be taken because many times journalists also make a risky attempt to cross their limits, due to which the balance between the police and the journalist gets disturbed and a situation of the dispute arises, but not all journalists are like that nowadays the police have done their job. the approach has been maintained. Policemen have an official uniform, they are a part of the government, they have a free hand to run a stick. The subject is very serious, if it is not considered in time, it will be worrisome for the journalists, and in such a situation the journalists will have to bear the loss because Nothing will happen to the policemen, they have government licenses and journalists have nothing.

Police and journalists are on the sidelines, but there has been a crack in this relationship because most of the policemen have now started pricking the legitimate questions of journalists. Journalists also have to do their work and they will have to question the police, then good journalists But what is the need to flare up, Daroga Ji?

Fair and fearless is the first rule of journalism and journalists who follow this rule honestly, definitely have to pay some price and their pain has to be endured throughout their life. For fair and fearless journalism, the journalists are asked by the governments. To keep it alive, government cooperation and respect will have to be given, only then journalism will survive because various mafia, politicians, and their associate administrative officers are standing ready to crush the fair and fearless journalism. is not suitable.
