Thane, Mar 7 : As many as 746 fresh coronavirus positive cases recorded in the district in last 24 hours, Health authorities said on Sunday.

With this the pandemic tally of the district rose to 2,69,065.

The authorities also said that three more deaths in the district, took the fatalities to 6,299. The mortality rate in the district currently stands at 2.34 per cent.

So far, 2,55,604 patients have recuperated from the infection, taking the recovery rate to 94.99 per cent in the district. Currently there are 7,162 active cases in the district, the official said.

In neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 46,268 while the death toll has risen to 1,205. (UNI)
