Thane, Jun 7 : With 558 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, the COVID tally reached 5,21,607 in the Thane district, an official said today.

While 33 death cases were registered, a total fatalities has shot up to 9478. The mortality rate was 1.81 percent, he added.

In neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,11,996 while the death toll was 2,174, he said. (UNI)
