Thane, Mar 11 : With 1,032 new covid cases in the last 24 hours, the infection tally has spiked to 2,72,193 in Thane district, an official said on Thursday.

While six death cases, the total number of death cases has reached 6,315.
The mortality rate was 2.32 percent, he added.
So far, 2,58,158 patients have recuperated from the infection, which took the recovery rate to 94.84 percent.

There were 7,720 active cases in the district at present, the official said.
In the neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 46,430 while the death toll was 1,206 he said.(UNI)
