Thane, Jul 9: Thane district registered 533 new Covid cases and 12 deaths in the last 24 hours, an official said today.
With this, the total number of Covid cases has spiked to 5,36,449 and total fatalities reached 10,789.

The mortality rate was 2.01 percent, he added.
In the neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,17,854 while the death toll is 2,622, he said. (UNI)
