Telangana requests PM to resolve issues pertaining to the State

Hyderabad, Sep 3 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter’s residence in New Delhi Today.

In the meeting that lasted for 50 minutes, the CM requested the PM to solve the various issues pertaining to the state, an official release here said.

The Chief Minister submitted letters to the PM on as many as 10 issues wherein he asked that the Centre should review about the IPS cadre; an integrated Textile Park should be established in the state; Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor should be developed; Navodaya Schools should be set up in all the new districts; release additional funds for the PM Garmin Sadak Yojana; take up road works in the Maoists dominated regions; PM Sadak Yojana Programme should be better; setting up an IIIT in Karimnagar; setting up of an IIM in Hyderabad; setting up of a Tribal University in the state.

The Chief Minister also requested the Prime Minister to allot land to the state government to construct the Official Building of State Government “Telangana Bhavan” in New Delhi. He also invited the PM to come for the inauguration of the Yadadri temple.

The Prime Minister has positively responded to the request and gave clear-cut assurances, the release said.

The state government has taken up the renovation of the Yadadri temple on a priority basis.

The Chief Minister told the Prime Minister that the inauguration of the renovated Yadadri temple would be held in October or November.

The Prime Minister responded positively and gave clear assurance that he would attend the inaugural programme, the release added.(UNI)
