Telangana reports 322 fresh COVID-19 cases, 3 fatalities on Wednesday
Hyderabad, Sep 1: Telangana reported 322 fresh Coronavirus until 1730 hours Today taking the total tally of cases in the state to 6,58,376 so far.
After 3 patients died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours the total toll due to COVID-19 stands at 3,876 till date translating a case the fatality rate of 0,58 percent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 percent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here tonight.
As many as 331 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries thus far to 6,48,648 constituting a recovery rate of 98.52 percent while the national recovery rate was 97.48 percent.
Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 5,852, the bulletin said.
In all, 71,402 samples were tested on Wednesday in the state to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 1,772 swab samples are awaited.
Cumulatively, more than 2,47,05,048 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Among the districts, by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) remaining the main contributor of the infection, recorded 76 fresh coronavirus cases as of Wednesday, followed, Karimnagar (27), Warangal Urban (25), Rangareddy (22), Medchal-Malkhajgiri (20), Nalgonda (17), Peddapalli (15), Khammam & Jagityal (13) and Mahabubabad (11).
The day’s remaining coronavirus cases have been reported by other districts, the bulletin added. (UNI)
