Telangana reports 3,052 fresh COVID-19 cases, seven fatalities fatalities
Hyderabad, April 13 (UNI) With a continuous trend of daily increase in cases,Telangana reported 3,052 fresh COVID-19 cases until 2000 hours on Monday taking the cumulative caseload to 3,32,581 till date.
Barring on Sunday,the state resumed on Monday registering more than 3,000 daily infection cases
The state recorded seven fresh fatalities due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours to push the death toll so far to 1,772 translating a case fatality rate of 0.53 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 per cent,according to a state health department bulletin on Tuesday.
In all, 778 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours to take the total number of recoveries thus far to 3,06,678 constituting a recovery rate of 92.21 per cent while the national recovery rate was 89.5 per cent.
Currently,the number of active cases in the state stand at 24,131 including 16,118 individuals in home or institutional isolation,the bulletin said.
In a span of 24 hours,1,13,007 samples were tested in the state to detect the contagious
virus out of which the results of 4,135 swab samples are pending.
Cumulatively,more than 1.11 crore COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state
so far since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.(UNI)
