Hyderabad, Jun1 : Telangana HAD registered 2,493 fresh coronavirus cases until 1730 hours Today taking the state’s tally of COVID-19 cases to 5,80,844 till date.

The state recorded 15 fresh fatalities due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the death toll so far to 3,296 translating a case fatality rate of 0.56 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.2 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here today.

A total of 3,308 people have recuperated from coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours to push the cumulative number of recoveries thus far to 5,44,294 constituting a recovery rate of 93.70 per cent while the national recovery rate was 92.04 per cent.

The active cases in the state presently stands at 33,254, the bulletin said.

In all, 94,189 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 1,462swab samples are awaited.

Cumulatively, 1,52,70,348 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.(UNI)
