Hyderabad, May 7: As many as 5,892 fresh Coronavirus cases have been recorded until 2000 hours on Thursday pushing the cumulative COVID-19 cases to 4,81,640 so far.

With the death of 46 patients due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the fatality toll till date mounted to 2,625 translating a case fatality rate of 0.54 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.1 per cent, according to a State Health Department bulletin here today.

A total of 9,122 people have recuperated from Coronavirus statewide to take the overall recoveries thus far to 4,05,164 constituting a recovery rate of 84.12 per cent while the National recovery rate was 81.9 per cent.

The number of active cases in the state now stands at 73,851, the bulletin said.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, 76,047 swab samples were tested in the state to detect the contagious virus and out of which the reports of 3,127 swab samples are awaited.

Cumulatively, more than 1.34 crore COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.(UNI)
