Hyderabad, Nov 22 : Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr Shashank Goel Today said that six Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidates were elected unopposed to the Legislative Council from the MLAs quota.

In a release here, Dr Goel said, Biennial election to Telangana State Legislative Council by the Members of Legislative Assembly (by MLAs), the Returning Officer and Joint Secretary to State Legislature has reported that no candidate withdrew his candidature upto 1500 hours on Monday.

The Returning Officer has reported that the Biennial election is uncontested and declared all the six TRS candidates—Banda Prakash, Kadiyam Srihari, Thakkellapalli Ravinder Rao, Gutha Sukender Reddy, Parupati Venkatrama Reddy and Padi Kowshik Reddy as elected uncontested, the release added.(UNI)
