Hyderabad, Nov 19 : A mining officer was killed when the coal pieces fell on him at Singareni Collieries Coal Mines located at Kalyana Open Cast, Mandamarri, Mancherial district of Telangana Today.

Police identified the deceased as Purushotham. The victim was at work in the mine when Coal pieces fell on him and he was seriously injured. He was immediately shifted to Singareni Hospital, Ramakrishnapur. He succumbed to his injuries while on his way to the hospital.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, the police added.(UNI)
