Telangana logs 429 new Covid cases
Hyderabad, Feb 13 :Telangana has reported 429 new Covid-19 cases until 1730 hours on Sunday, to push the cumulative caseload to 7,83,448 till date. One death was reported on Sunday to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. The state’s death toll stands at 4,107 translating a case fatality rate of 0.52 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here tonight. A total of 2,421 people have recovered from coronavirus statewide in a span of 24 hours taking the overall recoveries thus far to 7,67,660 constituting a recovery rate of 97.98 per cent. The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 11,681, the bulletin said. As many as 32,932 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 943 swab samples are awaited. Cumulatively, 3,29,87,442 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the bulletin said. Among the districts, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) remained the main contributor of the infection by registering a maximum of 142 new coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (41), Rangareddy (33), Nalgonda (22), Hanumakonda (19), Karimnagar (18), Mahabubnagar (15) and Sangareddy (13) .
