HYDERABAD, OCT 2 :Telangana joined the nation on Wednesday in paying tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his 155th birth anniversary.

Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar paid floral tributes at Bapu Ghat in Langar House, Hyderabad, to commemorate the occasion.

Several leaders from various political parties also garlanded statues of Mahatma Gandhi across the state, including at the prominent life-sized Father of the Nation statue in Secunderabad.
