HYDERABAD, NOV 29: On Tuesday, the Telangana High Court ordered the police to permit YS Sharmila, the president of the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP), to hold a padayatra in the state.

Due to skirmishes that broke out between Sharmila’s supporters and TRS campaigners in the Warangal district’s Chennaraopet hamlet on Monday, Narsampet Police revoked Sharmila’s licence to hold her padayatra.

YSRTP filed a complaint with the High Court against the denial of authorization, and the court ordered the police to permit Sharmila’s Padayatra.

The Court did, however, order the YSRTP Chief to refrain from saying anything inappropriate. (PHN)
