Telangana Govt Unveils Policies to Boost Tourism
HYDERABAD, DEC 17 : The Congress government in the House on Monday informed that it is contemplating introducing three innovative policies—temple tourism, ecotourism, and health tourism—to boost tourism in the state.
Replying to a question raised by Congress members during the question hour in the House, Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the government is also planning to establish a new zoological park near Hyderabad.
The government is contemplating formulating a Telangana tourism policy (2025-30) giving great emphasis on temple/spiritual tourism, eco-tourism, and health/wellness tourism; he said the policy is in the advanced stage of formulation.
The proposed new zoological park is in the conceptual state, and the location is not yet finalised, he added.
