Telangana govt ready to extend full support to MAA : Minister
Hyderabad, Oct 16 : Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has assured the Movie Artists Association (MAA) that the state government was ready to extend full support to it.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of MAA new panel held at Cultural Centre in Film Nagar here on Saturday, Mr Yadav said that the MAA election was held like general elections.
He expressed happiness over the election of Manchu Vishnu as MAA president.
The Minister said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s intention is to see Hyderabad as “Hub” of film industry and as part of it, the state government has taken up several reforms.
He said that the state has several locations, including Ramoji Film City, for shooting of films.
The film industry had faced hardship due to Covid pandemic, Mr Yadav said the government also took up several initiatives for them.
Stating that the state government has taken up several initiatives to curb piracy, the Minister said and appealed to the people to watch films in theaters.
Speaking of noted actor Mohan Babu, father of Manchu Vishnu, he said that he has a long association with Mohan Babu.
Mohan Babu taught Manchu Vishnu how to behave with others and spoke always for the wellbeing of the society, the Minister added.(UNI)
