Hyderabad, Sep 13: The Telangana Government Today filed a review petition in the state High Court on the Plaster of Paris (PoP) Ganesh idols immersion in Hussainsagar lake here.

The petition filed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Lokesh Kumar urged the Court to allow the immersion of PoP Ganesh idols and also the immersion procession towards the Tank Bund.

The petitioner informed that if the idols were not allowed towards Tank Bund, the immersion process will take up to six days and assured that all the debris would be cleared from the lake within 24 hours after the immersion process was completed.

The Court is expected to take up the petition for hearing at 1430 hours after the lunch break

The High Court had recently directed the government not to allow immersion of PoP Ganesh idols in Hussainsagar lake. (UNI)
